Job Summary
Manage an established team of electronic security systems consultants to deliver design and advice on proportionate security solutions for high-profile projects. Collaborate with advisory colleagues to develop holistic risk mitigation strategies integrating operational, electronic, and physical measures. Lead technically excellent, profitable projects by preparing specifications, reports, and general arrangement drawings while conducting site inspections and surveys. Ensure successful delivery of controls across various sectors through direct management of internal and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Principal Security Consultant
- extensive background in security systems designs (video surveillance, access control, intruder alarm, intercom and integrated security management systems)
- experience in delivering these following the RIBA Plan of Work design stages or equivalent
- good overall knowledge and / or experience of security risk management
- experience of the application of physical security solutions (including but not limited to Hostile vehicle Mitigation (HVM), forced entry protection, blast and ballistic mitigation)
- proven ability in managing direct reports
- proven ability in managing project teams
- proven ability in managing internal and external security stakeholders
- preparing specifications
- preparing reports
- general arrangement drawings
- carrying out site inspections and surveys
- passion for creative and intuitive design
- excellent communication skills
- experience of using your initiative to overcome challenges
