Job Summary
Provide clerical and administrative support to the principal, vice principal and teaching staff; ensure the office remains consistently organized; act as liaison between the school, community, and stakeholders; coordinate documents for district communications; maintain student and staff records with confidentiality; manage attendance reporting; handle mail and communications; enroll and manage student data; reconcile accounts and manage funds; coordinate room reservations and events; assist teachers, administrators, and students with typing, proofreading, and editing; maintain information systems and office files; dispense medication for students when the nurse is unavailable; ensure efficient use of office hardware and software; strong organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to work with minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
- DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide clerical and administrative support to the principal, vice principal and teaching staff
- Coordinate appropriate documents for communication with the district office
- Maintain all recordkeeping for students and staff
- Maintain student and staff confidentiality
- Track attendance and absences; use reporting software/generate reports
- Distribute incoming mail daily
- Dispense medication and attend to other medical needs of students when the nurse is off campus
- Enroll students using school database/software
- Distribute resources like materials, computers hardware, software and office supplies
- Create and maintain up to date class lists
- Manage activity fund accounts
- Facilitate Friday lunch orders for staff
- Display strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Carry out assigned tasks with minimal direct supervision
- Perform data entry
- Provide services for teachers, administrators and students like typing, proofreading, and editing
- Maintain the integrity of information systems, databases, and office files
- Prepare and circulate communication documents
- Reconcile accounts
- Coordinate room reservations for internal and external meetings appointments, events being held on campus
- Maintain all recordkeeping for students and staff
- Maintain confidentiality in all circumstances
- Use common computer hardware and software efficiently
- Operate office equipment (printer, photocopier, fax)
