Job Summary
This contract role for a Principal Scientist in R&D focuses on providing expert leadership in protein science for a leading chocolate manufacturer. The scientist will direct research efforts to develop breakthrough protein products and solutions within a collaborative R&D environment. Candidates must have extensive experience in product development related to food or consumer goods.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of applicable work experience with a B.S. Degree
- 9-11 years of experience with a Master's Degree
- 7-9 years of working experience with a Ph.D.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in the Confectionery, Food, Consumer Goods and/or pharmaceutical industry
- Leadership experience in the Product Development portion of multiple projects
- Expert knowledge in the importance of the interactions of ingredients and process unit operations
Additional Requirements
- Approximately 20% of travel required, primarily within the US, but including occasional international travel.
