Job Summary
Lead a research team focused on designing next-generation cell therapies to treat autoimmune diseases, integrating cross-functional efforts to identify new targets and advance therapeutics from preclinical studies into early clinical development. Generate high-quality, original research advancing understanding of autoimmune disease pathways, including inflammatory bowel disease, multiple sclerosis, lupus, and COPD. Collaborate with diverse departments in computational biology, proteomics, and drug development to evaluate external business development opportunities and accelerate the pipeline.
Required Qualifications
- PhD and postdoctoral training in Immunology, Cell Biology or related field
- A minimum of 5 years post-PhD experience with a record of high-impact publications (preprints considered), patents, and/or a proven track record advancing therapeutic candidates from pipeline entry to early clinical development
- Demonstrated expertise in cellular immunology and a deep understanding of pathways and immune cell types that contribute to autoimmune disease
- Outstanding leadership and a collaborative spirit, with a proven track record of working with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex scientific concepts to multidisciplinary audiences
- Exceptional critical thinking skills, a commitment to rigorous experimental design and creative problem-solving, and a demonstrated ability to use data-driven insights to guide scientific decisions

Desired Qualifications
- Expertise in both B cell and T cell biology
- Experience engineering, modifying, and functionally evaluating human immune cells
- Experience working with mouse models, including humanized models
