Principal Reliability Engineer

Job Summary
Lead reliability engineering efforts for new product development in a healthcare technology environment. Develop, coordinate and conduct reliability studies and DOE constructs; recommend design/test methods and SPC procedures to achieve required product reliability; perform risk analyses and compile performance reports and process control statistics; analyze variables affecting product/process reliability; propose design/formulation changes to improve system reliability; determine environmental testing requirements and sample sizes; mentor early-career quality professionals; and lead cross-functional teams to communicate risks and readiness for launch. This role requires collaboration across quality disciplines including risk management, supplier quality, change management, verification/validation, and launch readiness, with sponsorship available for Principal-level U.S. work authorization.
Required Qualifications
- Baccalaureate degree in engineering or related field
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with 5 years relevant experience OR PhD with 3 years relevant experience
- U.S. work authorization sponsorship (H-1B, etc.) offered for Principal-level roles and above
Desired Qualifications
- Experience planning Quality deliverables, timeline, and resource needs
- Proficient in leading cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization
- Strong understanding of design controls
- Experience mentoring early-career quality engineers (QCTMs)
- Working knowledge in multiple quality disciplines: Risk Management; Supplier Quality; Change Management; Reliability Engineering; Verification, Validation, and Testing Oversight; and Launch and Post-Market Readiness
