Job Summary
Coordinate and execute regulatory and compliance testing for Milwaukee power tools against US, Canadian, and international safety standards. Advise project leaders on design elements required for EMC, efficiency, and hazardous substance compliance while liaising with certification bodies to obtain necessary certificates. Supervise product certification workflows, including test sample preparation, execution, data analysis, and submittal, while conducting design reviews to mitigate safety risks. Mentor junior engineers and establish best practices to align multiple regulatory projects with global launch timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) or technical equivalent
- 7+ years of experience handling regulatory and product safety activities
- Strong understanding of safety standards affecting Milwaukee Outdoor Power Equipment, Power Tools or Chargers
- Familiar with Hazard Based Analysis techniques
- Understanding of general laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, e-loads, and data acquisition systems
- Familiar with OSHA General Industry and Construction regulations
- Possess strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
- Show an emphasis on and adherence to schedule
- Attention to detail
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally, as necessary
Desired Qualifications
- preferably associated with Outdoor Power Equipment, power tools, Lithium-ion batteries, and/or consumer products
