Job Summary
The Principal Radar Systems Engineer will support and lead the architecting, design, development, and implementation of advanced radar systems. Responsibilities include researching new RF sensing implementations, decomposing customer needs to develop system solutions, and using tools to document and communicate solutions. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and involves hands-on engineering. Key qualifications include expertise in radar systems, simulation tools proficiency, and a strong background in leadership roles. Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, an Active Secret security clearance, and the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance, and ability to obtain a Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility to support special access programs (SAP)
- Minimum of 10 years work experience as a Radar Systems Engineer
- Expert understanding of and experience with entire radar systems and their principles of design, development, requirements verification, test planning, test execution, data analysis, and operations support
- In-depth knowledge of how to implement radar modes, including transmit and receive waveform generation and signal processing
- Proficiency in radar simulation tools and MATLAB
- Experience in preparing and delivering high-level briefings to customers and senior management
- Demonstrated experience in leadership and delivery of advanced development projects
- Bachelor's degree with at least 10 years of applicable experience, Master’s degree with at least 8 years of applicable experience, or PhD with at least 5 years of applicable experience
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years experience working with SysML models in Cameo (or similar tool)
- Experience working with software-intensive systems and open architecture
- Familiarity with programming languages (e.g. C, C++, Python)
Additional Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is needed by U.S. Government for security clearance
