Principal Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Summary
Lead supplier quality management between Renesas and subcontractors, drive investigations with structured problem-solving (8D) and CAPA closures, manage supplier audits and change control, assess and qualify new subcontractors across automotive, high-reliability, industrial and commercial markets, and champion continuous improvement with cross-functional teams. Requires a degree in electrical engineering or a relevant field and at least 10 years in supplier quality, with proven semiconductor process experience (assembly, test, post-test) and hands-on use of 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone methodologies. Familiarity with ISO9001 and IATF16949 audits is expected; preferred knowledge includes advanced semiconductor packaging (e.g., WLCSP) and VDA6.3. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential to influence suppliers and drive timely resolution of quality issues across regional/global supplier quality environments.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in electrical engineering or relevant field
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in supplier quality management, including supplier selection, quality improvement, and manufacturing excursion response
- Proven experience in semiconductor processes (Assembly, Test, Post Test)
- Hands-on experience with problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone analysis
- Third-party audit certification for ISO9001 and IATF16949
