Job Summary
Manage supplier quality systems by acting as a regional liaison for subcontracted manufacturing operations and component suppliers. Identify and evaluate key process metrics to drive root cause solutions for quality excursions, ensuring compliance with ISO9001, IATF16949, and VDA6.3 standards. Support process and material change activities, including site certification and audits, while collaborating with suppliers on best-known-practices and continuous improvement initiatives. Monitor PCB assembly and SMT processes to enforce established inspection and statistical process control procedures.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 10 years relevant experience in supplier quality management which includes supplier selection, ongoing quality improvement and manufacturing excursion response management
- Strong technical knowledge of advanced semiconductor packaging (e.g., Multi-Chip Modules, Wafer-Level Chip Scale Packages)
- Experience or knowledge of semiconductor module assembly processes (e.g., SMT), passive components (inductors, capacitors), and embedded substrates processes and it's control
- Proven experience in PCB assembly, especially surface mount technology (SMT)
- Hands-on experience with structured problem-solving tools such as 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone analysis
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills when working with internal cross functional groups
- Understanding of standards ISO9001, IATF16949, VDA6.3 and process audit methodology as well as quality tools FMEA, Control Plan, SPC and MSA
- Certified or qualified auditor for ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and VDA 6.3
- Good English Speaking, writing and listening skills
