Job Summary
Principal Propulsion Engineer leading the technical design, analysis and optimization of jet propulsion systems for high-performance aircraft engines at the Roswell facility. Responsibilities include designing turbomachinery components for performance, durability and manufacturability at scale; performing structural and aerodynamic analysis; collaborating on NPI processes and propulsion technology roadmaps; leading major propulsion development projects with compliance to technical and regulatory requirements; creating and executing test plans from component validation to performance optimization; providing technical oversight to ensure quality and consistency across engineering outputs; conducting trade studies; maintaining engineering documentation (drawings, specifications, reports); and supporting manufacturing methods and aerospace standards. Requirements include 10+ years of gas turbine design and development, a Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering (Master’s/PhD a plus), US citizenship and DoD clearance eligibility, proficiency with CAD Creo, PLM Windchill, and simulation tools (ANSYS), ASME GD&T, aerospace manufacturing methods, willingness to travel up to 15%, and relocation package eligibility.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ Years of Gas Turbine Design and Development experience from concept through testing
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited four-year College or University in Mechanical, Aerospace or related field (Master's or PhD a plus)
- Must be US Citizen and eligible to obtain US DoD Clearance
- CAD (Creo), PLM (Windchill) and Simulation (ANSYS Mechanical, Fluent & CFX) a plus
- Understanding of military/aerospace design standards such as MIL-STD a plus
