Job Summary
Principal Surveyor responsible for leading the management and optimisation of a diverse commercial property portfolio to maximise income and asset value. Oversees rent reviews, lease renewals, property negotiations, and complex landlord/tenant matters; provides professional advice to senior officers and Members; ensures compliance with legislation and Council policies; manages a varied caseload and supports line management of staff, contributing to service delivery objectives and the Estates function. Emphasis on stakeholder management, asset/value protection, and delivering the Council’s property strategy and financial targets.
Required Qualifications
- Recognised professional qualification in surveying (such as MRICS) or equivalent experience in commercial property management
- Significant experience in landlord and tenant matters including rent reviews, lease renewals, and complex property negotiations
