Job Summary

Coordinate technical aspects of Development, Qualification, and Production for a Hypersonic rocket motor, managing design, engineering, and manufacturing development phases. Establish program execution plans, develop master schedules, and integrate logic flows while assembling cross-functional teams to execute project goals. Interface regularly with customers as the technical point of contact and lead milestone reviews with Senior Leadership. Lead problem and failure investigations, write technical reports, and present findings internally and externally. Work a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off, with travel expectations of 10% of the time.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 5 years of professional experience
  • Master's degree with 3 years of professional experience
  • PhD with 1 years of professional experience
  • Ability to perform solid modeling using NX
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance
  • Ability to work with energetic materials as a U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, firearms and explosives; 'Employee Possessor'
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Ability to work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off
  • Travel expectation of 5% – 10%
  • Relocation to Promontory, UT (or Magna, UT)

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in rocket motor design
  • Strong understanding and broad application of PS engineering systems (engineering standards, configuration management, material review board, process control, tooling, facilities, software, etc.) or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience in generating technical solutions in the absence of complete customer requirements
  • Management of engineering scope as it pertains to budgeting and participation in EVMS evaluations
  • Experience with the proposal process
  • Knowledge and experience in System Engineering tools and disciplines
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and design for manufacturability
