Job Summary
Coordinate with internal and external customers to develop engineering execution plans that meet master schedules. Lead Material Scientists in creating test plans while ensuring compliance with customer Parts, Materials, and Process requirements and aging strategies. Assemble cross-functional hardware teams to coordinate material choices, review manufacturing bills of materials, and conduct deliverable reviews. Manage the Sentinel Aging and Surveillance program by identifying risks, leading failure investigations, and performing technical reporting for internal and external stakeholders. This role involves a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off and includes 5% to 10% travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (STEM)
- 5 years of professional experience
- Master's degree
- 3 years of professional experience
- PhD
- 1 year of professional experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance
- Ability to work with energetic materials as a U. S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, firearms and explosives
- Minimum of 2 years in solid rocket motor design / manufacturing
- Strong experience in parts, materials or processes
- Ability to work a 9/80 schedule
- Every other Friday off
