Job Summary
Lead planning control structures and develop baseline schedules using Primavera P6, monitoring progress against milestones and assessing schedule impacts from change notifications. Manage project baselines from concept to commissioning while protecting the critical path for long-lead items and vendor dependencies. Supervise the planning team, delegate work, and mentor personnel within the GEC Hub, ensuring all schedules remain logic-linked with clear work package delivery milestones. Prepare performance status reports and forecast manhour budgets in coordination with cost discipline. Based in Chennai with periodic overseas travel, this role requires managing varied workloads across strategic planning and hands-on delivery support while leading teams through organizational transitions and operating model evolutions.
Required Qualifications
- Based at the Wood office in Chennai, India
- Willingness and ability to undertake periodic overseas travel
- Demonstrated experience working in multicultural environments
- Proven ability to operate effectively across cultural, organisational, and time-zone boundaries
- Demonstrable ability to lead teams through periods of significant change, transition, and operating model evolution
- Comfortable operating with managed uncertainty
- Ability to manage varied and changing workloads across multiple concurrent scopes of differing scale and complexity
- Comfortable moving between strategic planning, hands-on delivery support, and team leadership
Desired Qualifications
- Preference for candidates with previous brownfield offshore modification or brownfield EPC project experience
- Familiarity with the challenges of brownfield scope definition, execution in operating environments, and interface management with asset operations teams
- Experience of operating model transitions, onboarding programmes, or significant organisational change
