Job Summary
Principal Program Cost Control Analyst role based in San Diego, CA on-site with a 9/80 schedule. You will support the InSight Product Line Management team, handling financial support and analysis to meet product-line requirements, track forecasts across annual operating plans and long-range strategic plans, and contribute to IRAD, Capital, and NCTA budget development and tracking. You’ll prepare financial inputs for internal reports and presentations, assist with audits, proposals, and reviews, and work with program directors and managers to provide cost control across multiple contracts and operating units. Key technical skills include Cognos, SAP, Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, conditional formatting), and Earned Value Management concepts. Travel up to 10% domestically and collaboration within the NIC division are expected.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of related professional experience OR Master’s degree with 3 years of related professional experience
- Experience with financial systems including cost performance reporting and analysis
- Experience with COGNOS
- Experience with SAP
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and conditional formatting)
- Ability to travel domestically 10% of the time
