Job Summary
Own the roadmap, health, and competitiveness of Sumo Logic's Log Search, Metrics Search, Tracing, Dashboards, Monitors, and Alerts while steering them toward an AI-native future. Define investigation workflows that reason across telemetry to move users from signal to resolution faster, and productize agent-assisted detection that evolves from reactive troubleshooting to proactive operations. Own alerting accuracy, noise reduction, and operational health signals, ensuring enterprise governance like RBAC and cost limits are built into the experience. Translate strategy into PRDs and acceptance criteria, use telemetry to identify friction points, and create leadership proposals that balance customer demand with architecture tradeoffs. Runs today, builds tomorrow, and sets direction for a broad, ambiguous surface while driving execution across engineering and architecture teams.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of product management experience
- real observability or monitoring domain background
- Deep, first-hand understanding of the observability surface area including logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, monitors, alerts, and SLOs
- Proven ability to run a live, at-scale product
- Familiarity with how AI and agents are changing data interaction
- Strong technical instincts around query engines, time-series and trace data, and alerting systems
- Strong analytical skills and comfort using telemetry, dashboards, SQL, and usage data
- Excellent communication across technical and business audiences
- ability to write clear proposals, decision docs, PRDs, and acceptance criteria
- High ownership and drive to make progress across a large, ambiguous, fast-moving surface
