Job Summary
Own a meaningful area of the AI portfolio across Capella and Couchbase Enterprise, driving end-to-end strategy, roadmap decisions, and PRFAQ/PRD creation validated with named enterprise customers. Write the PRFAQ before code, make crisp tradeoff calls on feature scope, and ship capabilities with measurable adoption and reference customers. Partner shoulder-to-shoulder with engineering to own the PRD as a living document, while running design partner programs to bring real customer voice into roadmap decisions. Coordinate cross-portfolio collaboration on build-vs-partner judgment, equip sales and GTM with positioning and proof points, and contribute to analyst engagements and keynote content. Use AI deeply in research, customer synthesis, and roadmap modeling to set an example for the team's AI-driven development lifecycle. Mentor Senior PMs, shape operating cadence, and raise the bar across the AI organization.
Required Qualifications
- Twelve or more years in product management
- At least five years on a technical platform
- Deep technical fluency in modern AI infrastructure
- Customer obsession and working-backwards rigor

- Deep frontier-model experience

Desired Qualifications
- Experience at a database, data platform, or AI infrastructure company
- Direct experience building or shipping vector search, agent memory, RAG pipelines, model serving, or related AI infrastructure capabilities
- Public presence
- Prior experience mentoring or developing other PMs
- Deep familiarity with Anthropic's Claude stack
