Job Summary
Develop mobile and web experiences in React Native and Expo across iOS, Android, and web, owning delivery end-to-end from problem identification to production. Integrate AI into daily workflows, prototype high-impact features, and set technical direction for architecture and standards. Maintain production health by profiling performance, hardening release processes, and managing on-call rotation. Build intelligent systems that prioritize customer value and app stability while sharing patterns to lift the team.
Required Qualifications
- Right to work in the UK
- Based in London
- 10+ years building production software, across mobile, backend, frontend, or full-stack
- Strong across iOS and Android, with B2C apps in your track record
- Confident and idiomatic in TypeScript
- Solid grasp of mobile performance, app stability, release processes, and mobile security
- Design systems, attention to detail, and how the product feels
- Automated tests
- Clear in how you write and speak, and you love sharing what you learn
- Your impact shows up in other engineers' work - through the patterns you set, the reviews you give, and the people you grow
Desired Qualifications
- NestJS
- GraphQL
- GCP and DevOps. Firestore, Pub/Sub, Cloud Run, Firebase
- Native iOS or Android. Swift or Kotlin
- React Native Web. Cross-platform delivery from a shared codebase
- Quick commerce or similar domain. Logistics, on-demand delivery, or another real-time, high-throughput customer-facing environment
