Principal Product Engineer

Job Summary
Provide technical support and data analysis on product-related issues, cost, and yield improvements. Handle new transceiver product transfers from NPI to mass volume production, preparing engineering documentation and revision changes. Collaborate with R&D to design and qualify new test processes while developing systematic debug guides. Conduct data analysis and statistics for performance and quality enhancements, driving efforts in re-engineering and reliability improvement. Support pilot manufacturing lines for assembly and evaluation, initiating ECOs and BOM updates. Engage with customers, sales, and marketing for qualification cycles and provide RMA analysis. Derive continual improvement through risk-based thinking in compliance with ISO requirements. Perform root-cause analysis and validation scheme summarization for NPI trials.
Required Qualifications
- Master/Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Electrical, Communications, Mechatronics or Applied Science in Physics
- Minimum 3 years' working experience in product, test or product transfers into Production domain with major in mechanical manufacturing /electronic engineering related or material
- Good knowledge in BOM maintenance, statistical quality tools and problem analysis
- Understand basic test methodologies and able to interpret/read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- Strong technical knowledge and ability to trouble shoot product and test equipment issues and initiatives to drive performance goals
- Experience on New Product (NPI) qualifications and transfer is an advantage
- Experience working in PCBA, Semiconductor devices, IC fabrication manufacturing environment and Product Testing
- Requires office tools & systems(Engineering documentation, ECO/BOM updates, debug guides, qualification reports)
- Collaborates with multiple departments(R&D, NPI, Quality, Sales, Marketing, Customer qualification)
- Focuses on root-cause & technical solutions, not daily testing operations.(Failure analysis, reliability improvement, validation schemes)
- Production line presence is event-based only(NPI builds, pilot runs, issue debugging — not daily work)
- Documentation tasks need a controlled environment, not a test floor
- Engineers provide technical guidance — not operate or monitor testers(Operators/technicians are responsible for line operation)
