Job Summary
Principal Product Designer at Smarkets responsible for defining product direction and building core experience from the ground up. You will own design end-to-end, from user research and narrative shaping to delivering precise interfaces, working closely with executives, product, and engineering. Design autonomous work from scratch, create simple, elegant interfaces, prototype quickly with Figma, Cursor, and light code, conduct user research and guerrilla testing, evolve the design system, and raise the bar across the company through collaboration and thoughtful thinking. Requirements include 6+ years designing consumer products, a strong portfolio showing systemic thinking, expertise in iOS/Android/web, and excellent communication and ownership. Bonus: fintech, crypto, or data-intensive product experience; formal design education.
