Job Summary
Principal AI Data Engineer role in Clarivate’s MedTech team (Bangalore). Lead design and delivery of AI-enabled data products and intelligent workflows across product, engineering, analytics, and enterprise teams. Responsibilities include guiding architecture and implementation of Generative and Agentic AI systems, setting engineering standards, mentoring engineers, creating data pipelines and AI-enabled solutions for tracking medical devices and supplies, and aligning AI capabilities with strategic product goals. Ideal candidate has 10+ years in production-grade software with deep Python, PySpark, data platform and cloud experience (AWS/Azure), strong SQL/database skills across PostgreSQL, Oracle, Snowflake, Databricks, and familiarity with healthcare data, SpecKit/OpenSpec, and cross-functional collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence or related field
- 10+ Years of experience building and delivering production-grade software
- Strong experience with Python, PySpark, Snowflake, Databricks, Airflow, Delta Lake, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Strong SQL and database expertise (PostgreSQL, Oracle, Snowflake, Databricks)
- Experience partnering with product, analytics, and business stakeholders
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Understanding of healthcare data (preferred)
- Experience with SpecKit or OpenSpec (preferred)
- Experience building big data platforms (preferred)
