Job Summary
This position is critical for leading strategic sourcing in the indirect procurement category within Coupang's Global Procurement organization. Responsibilities include conducting cost analysis for indirect procurement projects, developing short-term and long-term category plans, and establishing integrated strategies. The role involves collaborating with key business stakeholders to address ongoing challenges, conducting supplier evaluations, and implementing project initiatives. Candidates must have strong experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and the ability to negotiate vendor agreements. The ideal applicant should possess excellent analytical skills and problem-solving abilities focused on driving service quality and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Over 10 years of practical experience in procurement
- Ability to quickly identify key stakeholders and build strong collaborative relationships across various departments
- Ability to establish and execute strategic sourcing plans reflecting internal business requirements and external market and supplier environments
- Experience in negotiating and executing contracts based on Service Level Agreements (SLA) that reflect business requirements
- Ability to manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously and track and report cost-saving effects
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
Desired Qualifications
- Fluency in English and Korean
- MBA or supply chain related certification (CPSM, SPSM, etc.)
- Experience in indirect procurement or consulting industry
- Experience in managing various category operations and sourcing strategies with low-cost countries (LCC)
- Experience in eProcurement systems and leading improvements through innovative approaches
