Job Summary
Principal Process Engineer for a 18-month assignment based at a Client’s site in Nynäshamn, Sweden. Responsible for leading process engineering activities on refinery projects, providing input to project scopes, performing process calculations, heat and material balances, and reviews of PFDs and P&IDs; conducting process safety reviews (HAZOP/HAZID/SIL), participating in design reviews, and supporting turnaround planning and execution, including MOC, risk assessments, and field hand-back during restart and start-up; on-site presence required; must have 12+ years of process design experience, degree in Chemical Engineering, and IChemE chartered status.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 12 years of process design experience within a relevant industrial sector
- Degree-qualified in Chemical Engineering and Chartered Member of the IChemE
- Significant site experience, including supporting turnarounds
- Proven ability in leading process engineering activities, ensuring that they are delivered safely, accurately and on time
- Sound understanding of process safety fundamentals and experience in hazard/risk assessments
- Well-developed organisational and teamwork skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and provide technical guidance to junior engineers
- Excellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail
