Job Summary
Principal Process Engineer overseeing a home unit while supporting multiple sites; lead the definition, justification, and implementation of capital and non-capital projects to improve operational effectiveness; provide mentoring and technical leadership to process and production engineers; develop PFDs, P&IDs, and design data sheets; review and ensure compliance with engineering standards; lead cross-functional teams to identify performance gaps and implement solutions; collaborate with business teams on long-term capital plans; ensure safety and regulatory compliance; travel 20%–60% domestically; role is regional with multiple sites and responsibilities across the Indorama Ventures Indovinya division.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in chemical engineering
- 7+ years working for an owner operator in the Chemical Industry
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and 10+ years (alternate requirement)
- Proficiency with SAP, Internet, Email and Microsoft Office
- Aspen Plus or equivalent simulation software
- Operational experience with chemical manufacturing processes
- Proficiency in sub-disciplines (fluid flow, heat transfer, distillation, mass transfer, process control, modeling, reaction engineering)
- Experience with Ethylene Oxide and Ethylene Glycol desired
- Ability to lead capital and non-capital projects
- Experience coordinating with EPC firms
- Mentoring and developing engineering staff
- Safety leadership and process safety activities (HAZOP, LOPA, incident investigations, PSSR)
