Job Summary

Principal, Pricing Strategy and Optimization leads pricing strategy and monetization for Zillow’s New Construction products, partnering with Product, Sales, Finance, Analytics, and Operations to develop data-driven pricing recommendations, design experiments, and turn strategy into scalable execution. Responsibilities include leading pricing architecture, packaging, discounting, and monetization levers; identifying and prioritizing pricing opportunities to improve revenue growth, product adoption, partner ROI, and long-term health; building business cases and scenario analyses for annual planning and strategic investments; designing and evaluating pricing tests, pilots, and promotions; monitoring contracts and pricing to align with business objectives; and operationalizing pricing decisions with systems, workflows, dashboards, and field materials. The role emphasizes governance, simplification where appropriate, and leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
