Principal Playback QoE Engineer
On-site · Seattle, Washington, United States
Job Summary
Senior Principal Playback QoE Engineer sought to define and build the real-time quality intelligence layer for OVE, connecting viewer playback telemetry with infrastructure behavior to enable live-event operations, QoE reporting, and data-driven optimization of the delivery platform. Responsibilities include defining canonical playback QoE metric models, building real-time QoE telemetry pipelines (Kafka/Flink), processing large-scale playback events across sessions, devices, geographies, ISPs, app versions, protocols, and delivery paths, building real-time aggregations, anomaly detection, alerting, and live-event dashboards, correlating telemetry with relay/control/routing/fallback behavior, partnering with engineering and product teams to improve end-to-end video quality, supporting customer-facing QoE reporting and post-event analysis, identifying regressions by device/region/ISP/version/path, defining QoE-driven feedback loops for routing and capacity planning, and driving telemetry schema and data quality standards.
