Job Summary
Senior technical leader for platform support interfacing with Westinghouse I&C teams and external vendors. Lead high-quality resolution of complex issues affecting partners and customers; shape platform direction through standards, lifecycle strategy, and continuous improvement. Reports to the GOS Manager and is located at the Cranberry, PA facility in a hybrid role with up to 25% travel. Provide platform architecture guidance, manage standards and governance, lead obsolescence management, act as escalation point for internal teams and customers, deliver clear technical communications, and drive process improvements across programs. Requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering and 7+ years of industrial controls/platform engineering experience, with hands-on PLC/SCADA/DCS expertise and strong ability to communicate with non-technical audiences.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
- 7+ years of experience in industrial controls engineering, platform engineering, or a related role
- Hands-on experience with PLC, SCADA, or DCS platforms, configuration management, and vendor technical engagement
- Experience providing senior technical support to partners and customers, including leading escalations and communicating with non-technical audiences
- Mastery of engineering principles, architecture/design methods, and problem solving in regulated/quality-controlled environments
- Experience delivering and sustaining industrial control systems in operational environments (commissioning/startup, root-cause analysis, long-term corrective actions)
- Knowledge of field instrumentation and control devices typical to power industry, including interface definition, signal conditioning, and integration constraints
- Ability to interpret/review industry standard drawings (P&IDs, loop diagrams, cabinet drawings, panel layouts)
