Job Summary
Build and operate distributed services that process large volumes of software metadata to create a trusted view of Oracle's software ecosystem. Normalize inconsistent data into a consistent model while managing ownership, lifecycle state, and dependency relationships across services. Debug issues across service boundaries and improve reliability and performance within a large enterprise environment featuring ambiguous, evolving requirements. Develop in Java or similar object-oriented languages to create durable solutions that support teams across OCI. Influence the foundation of this v1 platform as it grows with Oracle's software estate.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in distributed service engineering or a related software development role
- Strong development experience in Java or another object-oriented language
- Experience building or operating distributed systems and APIs at scale
- Familiarity with databases, data processing, and production-grade backend services
- Experience debugging across service boundaries and improving reliability and performance
- Comfort working in a large enterprise environment with ambiguous, evolving requirements
