Job Summary
Principal Platform Engineer (GCP) leads technical infrastructure design and modernization to support organizational needs in Springfield, MO. Responsible for documenting current and target architectures, planning deployments, ensuring stability and scalability, and guiding engineering teams. Drives architectural improvements, supports security incident response, maintains policy compliance, and contributes to infrastructure automation and knowledge sharing. Requires deep experience in GCP, cloud infrastructure, scripting, containerization (Kubernetes/Docker), and enterprise architecture with demonstrated leadership and ability to translate business requirements into technical plans.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree or Equivalent Level of Experience
- 6 to 12 years of general work experience in the relevant field
- 2 to 5 years of managerial experience
- Experience with infrastructure and cloud platforms including private/public cloud
- Experience with Infrastructure Automation technologies such as Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform
- Programming/scripting experience with Bash, PowerShell, or Python
- Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
- Ability to develop and communicate business cases and roadmaps
- Experience contributing to enterprise architecture and system design
