Job Summary
Lead Database Platform team as a Principal Engineer focusing on database strategy, architecture, and automation for IFS Cloud. Own the technical direction for database provisioning, configuration, high availability, and disaster recovery with a strong bias toward automation and self-service. Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for database schema changes and migrations, implement IaC for provisioning, and build self-service capabilities to enable development teams to provision and manage database environments. Collaborate with ops and product teams to ensure reliability, observability, and developer experience, while maintaining security and regulatory compliance. Requires deep Oracle expertise and experience with PostgreSQL and SQL Server, strong automation/coding skills (Python, Bash), and experience with tooling like Liquibase/Flyway, Terraform, Ansible, and GitOps. Demonstrated ability to own a technical domain end-to-end, lead a team of database engineers, and drive automation-focused platform engineering.

- Deep Oracle database expertise – architecture, internals, RAC, performance tuning, backup/recovery, VM and Exadata/Exascale
