Job Summary
Manage and support local and regional stormwater management, flood mitigation, and resiliency projects, serving as County Project Manager for a federally funded initiative involving multiple municipalities. Lead reviews of Water Quality and Wastewater Management Plan applications, including Sewer Service Area Amendments, ensuring compliance with state and municipal regulations. Coordinate site-specific amendment applications with local, state, and regional agencies while analyzing flood mapping, modeling, and environmental data to guide climate adaptation strategies. Prepare technical reports, presentations, and meeting materials for public forums and stakeholder engagements. Research applicable regulations and support grant writing, stakeholder outreach, and land preservation initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Planning or a related field, including at least 21 semester credit hours in professional planning subjects
- Valid New Jersey driver's license
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in environmental planning, stormwater management, climate resiliency, or related fields
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Planning preferred
- New Jersey Professional Planner (PP) license preferred
- AICP certification preferred
- Middlesex County residency preferred
