Job Summary
Manage routine parking, bus lane, and moving traffic enforcement while supervising contractors supporting council parking services. Project manage work relating to these enforcement areas and coordinate activities to meet statutory duties for traffic enforcement and off-street/on-street parking. Attend Traffic Penalty Tribunal hearings and advise internal and external stakeholders on parking and enforcement matters. Represent the council at local, regional, and national levels within the parking industry. Travel as required.
Required Qualifications
- experience in working in a Parking Services environment
- knowledge of Parking Services income and expenditure budgets
- attending Traffic Penalty Tribunal hearings
- project manage and coordinate work relating to routine parking, bus lane and moving traffic enforcement
- supervise all contractors who support the council in the provision of parking services
- willing to travel
- experience in representing the council at local, regional and national level within the parking industry
- appropriate knowledge in order to be able to advise internal and external stakeholders on parking, bus lane and moving traffic enforcement matters
- in-depth knowledge and application of relevant legislation, regulations, procedures, and guidance
- excellent communication skills
- computer literate
- Level HNC or above (or equivalent) in a subject relevant to the service or significant relevant service experience
- Relevant qualifications / Experience for service within the parking industry
- communicate verbally with customers and provide advice and/or information in accurate spoken English
