Job Summary
Principal or Senior Principal Structural Analysis Engineer needed to conduct structural modification stress analysis for metal and composite airframe structures, perform damage tolerance and durability analyses, and use tools like Catia, FEMAP, Patran, and Nastran in a fast-paced development environment. Roles may be filled at Principal or Senior Principal level; locations include Oklahoma City, OK; Palmdale, CA; or Whiteman AFB, MO. Requires STEM degree with relevant experience or higher (MS/PhD options), experience in bonded composite and metallic structural analysis, familiarity with Patran/FEMAP, and an active US government clearance with potential to obtain Special Program Access. Preferred: current Secret/Top Secret clearance and experience with Special Access Programs and military aircraft. Relocation assistance may be available. Start dates depend on funding.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Aerospace structural design OR an MS degree in STEM with 3 years of related experience OR a PhD in STEM and 1 year of related experience
- Experience in bonded composite structural analysis of primary and secondary aircraft structures
- Experience in metallic structural analysis of primary and secondary aircraft structures
- Proficiency in structural analysis methods and documentation, including hand-sheet analysis and large Finite Element Model manipulation
- Familiarity with PATRAN or FEMAP
- Active US Government clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs
