Job Summary
NPI and Product engineering owner on optical module and/or light engine (NPO, CPO) products. Responsible to work with design, marketing, supply chain, quality, OSATs and CMs to develop end-to-end manufacturing and test solutions, qualify and release to production. Define, validate and release production flow and spec through prototype and pilot builds. Drive early DFM/PFMEA feedback discussions. Owns BOM release, alpha/beta/pilot stage product build, production bring up, yield improvement, troubleshooting, and manufacturing readiness. Partner with quality team on completing reliability de-risking and qualification. Continue to sustain production together with offshore manufacturing team and CMs after production release.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Photonics, Optical Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of industry experience in product engineering or product development for volume production, with a focus on Silicon photonics, optical transceiver modules, subassemblies
- Prior NPI/manufacturing experience in optical transceivers or other optoelectronic modules is a big plus
- Strong experience in opto-electrical testing and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with assembly and packaging processes such as wire bonding, die attach, wafer packaging, active optical alignment
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
