Principal Operational Analyst

Job Summary
Experienced principal-level analyst sought to contribute to a wide range of analytical studies within MBDA UK's Operational Analysis team. Applicants should hold a degree in a relevant discipline and demonstrate awareness of OA/OR methods, statistical analysis, systems thinking, and the ability to structure information, draw conclusions, and make recommendations. The role requires excellent written and verbal communication to prepare reports and presentations for various stakeholders, with flexibility for hybrid on-site work (2–5 days per week) and BPSS security checks. The opportunity involves working on defence-related topics across military domains, collaborating with MOD and military representatives, and developing technical, leadership, and management skills within a diverse team.
Required Qualifications
- Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
- Strong awareness of, or professional background in, Operational Analysis/Operational Research or statistical analysis; ability to structure information, draw conclusions and make recommendations
- Experience with qualitative and quantitative techniques; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact with stakeholders
- Security clearance: BPSS (British Citizen or dual UK national with British citizenship)
