Job Summary
OA Principal specializing in innovative opportunities leads the Online Academy and special programming, collaborates with faculty, students, and partners to develop and sustain multi-modal, future-focused programs; drives long-range planning, oversees instructional programs and student services, builds partnerships with community organizations, and champions online learning initiatives while ensuring safety, attendance, and compliance; requirements include a Master’s degree or higher and Ohio licensure, with strong leadership, communication, and knowledge of educational technology and curriculum development. The role emphasizes collaboration with district leaders to expand opportunities, mentor staff, support student engagement, and promote innovative, real-world learning experiences across the district.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in Education, Educational Leadership, or related field
- Appropriate State of Ohio Licensure
- Previous experience in educational administration, with a focus on innovation, curriculum development, or program management
- Strong understanding of educational technology, project-based learning, design thinking, and other innovative pedagogical approaches
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively, solve problems, and adapt to changing educational landscapes
- Passion for empowering students to explore their interests, develop critical thinking skills, and become lifelong learners
- Teaching experience at the high school or elementary school level
- Knowledge of Ohio school law
- Knowledge of curriculum and successful teaching strategies
- Knowledge of child development and modes of learning
