Job Summary
Chief administrator of a school responsible for developing and implementing policies, programs, curriculum activities, and budgets to promote student educational development and staff professional growth. Leads general planning, coordination, and enhancement of instructional programs; establishes work relationships; evaluates performance; ensures organizational efficiency and effective communication with students, staff, parents, and the community; orients new staff and students; oversees services, supplies, and equipment; and utilizes data to meet school objectives. Requires a master's-level school administration program, NC principal license, and 3–5 years of classroom teaching experience; strong leadership, budgeting, curriculum coordination, staff supervision, and community engagement skills.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an approved program in school administration at the master's level or above
- 3 to 5 years of experience as a classroom teacher or equivalent training/experience
- Must possess a license in school administration as a Principal from the State of North Carolina
- Must possess a valid North Carolina driver's license
