Job Summary
Design and implement scalable, secure network solutions for the US Space Force meshONE-T program while diagnosing complex issues to minimize downtime. Create and maintain technical documentation covering network configuration, mapping, and service records, and establish support processes for internal and external stakeholders. Monitor performance metrics, generate reports, and collaborate with teams to verify system requirements without performance degradation. Act as a subject matter expert and mentor junior engineers, justifying architecture changes to enhance network efficiency. Requires TS/SCI clearance, 15+ years of network engineering experience, and at least four days per week on-site at the Denver Tech Center.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of overall network engineering experience
- at least 5+ years working service provider functions of a network
- on-site experience activating and troubleshooting underlay carrier circuits
- Proficiency in routing and switching protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
- managing enterprise-grade network devices (e.g., Cisco, Juniper)
- Hands-on experience with network security tools and equipment (e.g. – Cisco ISE, Palo Alto, etc.)
- Less than 10% travel out of state
- Must be currently eligible for a TS/SCI
- at least 4-days/week on-site or at a customer location
Desired Qualifications
- Project experience implementing and overseeing large-scale networks
- Experience with segment routing
- Experience designing ground stations for space mission systems
- Experience working in Department of Defense, or with Department of Defense or Federal contracts
Additional Requirements
- Less than 10% travel out of state
- Non-supervisory position
