Job Summary
Execute requirements capture, management, and flow-down while leading system architecture and integration for actuation and airplane nacelle systems. Drive design activities within multidisciplinary teams, conduct design reviews, and present technical updates to internal and external stakeholders. Lead risk identification, mitigation, and design assurance efforts, supporting failure investigations and corrective action programs across development, qualification, production, and in-service operations. Manage customer engagement activities and new business opportunities with less than 15% international travel. This onsite role at Collins Aerospace supports the full product lifecycle from concept to in-service support for next-generation aerospace technologies.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen, U.S. Person, or Immigration Status

- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- Minimum 8 years prior relevant experience
- Advanced Degree in a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience (if holding Advanced Degree)
- Experience in Requirement Management and associated tools
- Experience with MBSE principal and tools
- Experience in qualification and certification of aircraft systems
- Experience with ARP4754 and/or ARP4761
- Experience with D0-254 & D0178
- <15% international travel as needed
- Onsite work location (US-CA-CHULA VISTA-B107)
Desired Qualifications
- Requirements management tools (DOORs, Polarion, or equivalent)
- Model Based System Engineering concepts and tools
- Experience supporting technical investigations and root cause analysis activities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering global teams
- Strong organizational and planning skills with attention to detail
- Highly competent with PowerPoint, word, excel
- Demonstrated understanding of the Aerospace systems and components product life cycle
- Demonstrated experience in component and systems integration into Nacelles or equivalent structure
- Demonstrated experience in component and systems integration into engine and aircraft systems
- Strong understanding of design and integration of electro-mechanical actuation systems or equivalent systems
