Job Summary
Principal Underground Mining Consultant to lead projects across geographies for Mining Plus in Australia. Manage and deliver underground mining studies (scoping, pre-feasibility, feasibility), author and peer-review technical reports, mentor staff, drive business development, prepare proposals and contracts, and lead multi-disciplinary project teams ensuring on-time, within-budget delivery. Requires a Bachelor's degree in mining engineering (or equivalent) and 12+ years of underground mining experience; Deswik software proficiency; strong communication and stakeholder-management skills; ability to work independently or in teams and travel to sites as needed. Based from Perth or Melbourne offices with ad-hoc site travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mining engineering (or equivalent)
- Minimum 12+ years of underground mining experience
- Proficiency in Mine Planning software (Deswik preferred)
- Experience in managing technical projects and stakeholders to deliver projects
- Ability to work independently or within teams
- Strong financial management skills with excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Consulting experience is highly regarded!
- Legal Work Entitlement within Australia
