Job Summary
Lead development and execution of the company’s publications portfolio in clinical genomics. Produce and oversee peer-reviewed manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and other scientific communications; manage end-to-end publication planning and execution, including planning, drafting, submission, peer-review responses, and resubmissions. Drive collaboration across internal teams and external collaborators; ensure compliance with ICMJE, GPP, and regulatory guidelines; develop SOPs for publication development and medical writing; supervise publication review processes and documentation. Requires an advanced degree (MS/PhD/MD or equivalent) and 3-5 years in medical writing within industry, with a strong publication record in medical genetics/genetic testing. This is a fully remote role with a focus on independent and cross-functional work in a fast-moving genetic diagnostics environment.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree (MS, PhD, MD or similar) in genetics, molecular biology, or a related field
- 3-5 years of professional medical writing experience in an industry setting, preferably in the genetic testing space
- Strong understanding of scientific research methodologies, research consents, and regulatory requirements
- Strong publication record with over 10 publications in the field of medical genetics and genetic testing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both in a team environment and independently
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in data visualization and figure design to display data in an easily digestible format
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, reference management, and data visualization software
