Job Summary
Principal Mechatronics Engineer & Tech Lead to join Nordson EFD's product design team. You will conceive, architect, and bring to market electro-mechanical systems for precision fluid dispensing used in advanced manufacturing and medical fluid handling. Lead interdisciplinary engineering initiatives, drive product development from concept to high-volume production, translate customer needs into actionable requirements, oversee design verification and validation, and ensure regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include leading technology evaluations, defining product architecture for electromechanical systems (actuators, sensors, control algorithms, data interfaces), interfacing with customers to refine capabilities via prototypes, and guiding a team to deliver robust, connected solutions with strong cross-functional collaboration and a data-driven approach.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors of Science in Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering
- 8 years’ experience launching electro-mechanical products with actuators, sensors, precision mechanical components, embedded systems, real time control and digital communication interfaces
