Job Summary
Design new semiconductor industry products and mechanical features for current lines; produce and release 3D models, drawings, and BOMs; collaborate with electrical and software engineering to ensure designs meet market and customer requirements; communicate cost impact of designs; build prototypes; support operations, supply chain, field service, and quality to sustain and reliable product lines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Graduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Mechanical Engineering role
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an NPI (New Product Introduction) environment
- Experience in mechanical design and development of new products across full life cycle from concept through production release
- Strong 3D CAD modeling (ProE & SolidWorks) and FEA/CFD knowledge
- Knowledge of robotic mechanisms including motors, bearings, sensors, actuators
- Knowledge of automation controls and semiconductor system integration
- Experience with material selection and design for manufacturability
- Hands-on assembly and troubleshooting of mechanical components and assemblies
- Ability to estimate tasks and follow project schedules
- Experience leading small offshore development teams
- Experience with Agile/AgileEC
- Ability to prepare technical reports and present to suppliers and operations
- Familiarity with SEMI standards
- Experience with AutoCAD is a plus
- Experience leading mechanically-focused engineering products is a plus
- Experience with basic machining (mills/lathe) is a plus
