Job Summary
Coordinate and oversee mechanical build and production operations for space vehicle Integration and Test activities. Develop detailed work instructions or test procedures, ensuring all processes and hardware designs adhere to strict space vehicle requirements. Maintain the work center, reporting daily status to managers while addressing off-nominal conditions and creating corrective actions. Provide mentor guidance to technical staff and support hardware testing, analyzing results to confirm system health and operational expectations. This role operates on a 9/80 day schedule with every other Friday off, located in Gilbert, AZ. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in STEM with five years of related experience and a valid DOD TS/SCI security clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, or related area
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience
- 3 years with Masters degree
- 0 years with PhD degree
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: integration, test, mechanical operations, or manufacturing
- Must be able to obtain and retain a DOD TS/SCI Security Clearance and/or SAP clearances
- Must be able to obtain and retain a DOD TS/SCI Security Clearance
- Current active DOD TS/SCI security clearance
- U.S. Citizenship
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
- Experience providing direct engineering support for spacecraft assembly, equipment, and processes
- Experience working in a highly regulated industry with strict customer/process requirements
- Experience in defense or related industry
- Demonstrated ability/desire to lead a team of less experienced engineers
- Practical experience with 5S/FOD, ESD and Six Sigma and/or Lean manufacturing techniques
- Experience with design modeling and drawing efforts using 3-D modeling tools
