Job Summary
Lead the development of a new mechanical product from concept to launch, focusing on defining product architecture, solving mechanical challenges, and ensuring design optimization for performance and manufacturability. Responsibilities include mechanical product definition, requirements prioritization, hands-on design and troubleshooting, and working with external partners for production readiness. Candidates must have a strong background in mechanical engineering with proven experience in product development, proficiency in CAD tools, and the ability to manage complex projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 7+ years of progressive mechanical/electro-mechanical product development experience
- Strong mechanical fundamentals with the ability to independently solve complex problems
- Demonstrated experience leading mechanical products from concept through production
- Hands‐on experience with CAD (SolidWorks preferred), BOM management, and design documentation
- Familiarity with structured problem‐solving and risk tools (RCCA, FMEA, fault trees, fishbone)
- Experience designing or overseeing test fixtures, validation systems, and verification plans
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Experience in vacuum pump or fluid-handling systems
