Job Summary
Lead mechanical teams through all design phases of radar hardware programs, from concept to production, delivering ruggedized structures, interconnects, cooling, and array integration for phased-array radar/electronics. Drive design decisions with manufacturing transition in mind, ensuring the product meets standards, program constraints, and performance requirements. Collaborate across disciplines and with operations, quality, and program offices; supervise a small team of engineers as needed; participate in proposal development and production release activities. On-site role based in Marlborough or Tewksbury, MA, requiring the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance and US citizenship. Relocation assistance available and on-site work is expected.
Required Qualifications
- degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- minimum 8 years of relevant experience or Advanced Degree with minimum 5 years experience
- experience in design of radar architecture or electronics packaging for military/aerospace/commercial applications
- experience with GD&T
- experience with ANSI drawing standards and/or first order or structural analysis techniques
- experience with design to military standards
- experience with CREO (Pro/E) or similar 3D solid modeling software
- familiarity with design/manufacturing processes of CCAs, mechanical/RF components, metal housings, structures, and electronics assemblies
- excellent verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills
