Job Summary
As the Technical Lead for the Alt Defense pod at Roblox, you will architect and build a high-scale detection system for alternate account prevention. You will lead the technical vision, leveraging advanced machine learning techniques like Graph Neural Networks and tackling complex challenges related to adversarial use cases. Your role involves ensuring rapid detection of bad actors, mentoring a team of ML engineers, and driving the ML roadmap focusing on big data and behavioral signals. A Master's or PhD in a relevant field and over 10 years of experience in applied machine learning with a focus on anti-abuse and fraud are required.
Required Qualifications
- MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field
- 10+ years of industry experience in Applied ML
- Expertise in Graph Learning and Large-scale GNNs
- Proven track record of leading complex technical projects
- Experience deploying ML models in low-latency environments
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to think like a bad actor to anticipate circumventing detection
- Strong analytical skills to investigate large datasets
- Experience with high-throughput systems for low-latency environments
