Job Summary
Principal Linux System Administrator based in Tewksbury, MA, to provide IT systems administration across heterogeneous Linux (RHEL) and Windows environments, including Ansible, LDAP/AD, DNS/DHCP, RAID and data backup, server replication, and collaboration with Cybersecurity to maintain security requirements. Role involves 24x7 operations, occasional travel up to 10%, and onsite work with DoD security-clearance requirements. Must develop solutions and documentation for complex IT problems and support classified programs; DoDD 8140/8570 certification required within 6 months. Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience with 5+ years of relevant experience (or an advanced degree with 3+ years) and U.S. citizenship.
Required Qualifications
- Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree with minimum 3 years experience
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance (DoD)
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Must be able to obtain DoDD 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent) within 6 months of start date
- Linux experience (Red Hat) and Windows Server internals
- Experience with LDAP, Active Directory, VMware, MySQL, networking administration
- Ability to work 24x7 support and willingness to travel up to 10%
- Scripting experience
- Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies
- Experience with information technology project lifecycle processes
- Experience with VMWare vCenter, vSphere, ESX or other virtual computing methods
- HPC experience in Linux environment
- Credentialing and documentation responsibilities
- Security collaboration with Cybersecurity professionals
