Job Summary
Lead Kubernetes program architect and mentor for Accenture Federal Services, driving design, deployment, and automation of Kubernetes-based platforms for U.S. federal workloads. Architect and maintain scalable, secure clusters; manage core Kubernetes services (networking, storage, scheduling, RBAC); automate with Operators; implement IaC (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines with security baked in; develop custom automation (Python/Go/Bash); contribute to GitOps practices; assess and introduce Kubernetes-native solutions; promote best practices, AI-assisted development, and robust troubleshooting. Requires DoD 8140 certifications and an active TS/SCI clearance; 10+ years of relevant experience; candidate will work within federal government contexts and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- DoD 8140 certifications
- 10 years of relevant experience in Kubernetes, IaC, and cloud-native platforms
- Advanced proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), especially Terraform
- Significant experience architecting, deploying, and managing Kubernetes clusters (AWS EKS or equivalent)
- Strong command of Kubernetes RBAC, security policies, and best practices
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines for containerized workloads
- Proficiency with Git and GitOps workflows for Kubernetes resource management
- Proven mentoring and leadership of development teams
- Experience with hybrid or private clouds (VMware vSphere or OpenShift) preferred
- Relevant Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD, CKS) and security/compliance knowledge
- Active DoD 8140 certifications and ability to maintain them
- US work authorization (no sponsorship required)
