Job Summary

Administer activities to facilitate clinical research and provide clinical support for the conduct and oversight of clinical trials. Assume overall responsibility for study conduct by personally conducting or supervising research, ensuring delegated staff are qualified, and protecting participant rights and safety. Adhere to study protocols, FDA regulations, and Good Clinical Practice while maintaining sponsor confidentiality. Perform study procedures including physical examinations, informed consent, adverse event adjudication, and subject recruitment. Oversee Sub-Investigators and recruitment teams, providing weekend and after-hours coverage as needed. Ensure research accuracy, security, and integrity in accordance with federal regulatory requirements and IRB-approved plans.

Required Qualifications

  • Current physician license
  • Board Certified
  • One to two years of research experience as a principal investigator
  • At least one to two years of clinical practice in Internal Medicine, Behavioral Neurology, Family Practice, Endocrinology, GI +/- liver disease
  • Written and oral communication skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to pay attention to detail
  • People skills including possessing a positive, friendly, and professional demeanor
  • Ability to be flexible with changing priorities
  • Ability to communicate in a diplomatic and professional manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong mathematical knowledge
  • Excellent computer skills
  • knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Foxfire, and web-based enterprise solutions software
  • Ability to work in an upright and/or stationary position for 6-10 hours per day
  • Frequent mobility required
  • Occasional squatting, kneeling, or bending
  • Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects including medical equipment with a maximum lift of 20-50 lbs
  • Occasional travel may be required domestic and/or international

Desired Qualifications

  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
  • One to two years of research experience as a principal investigator
  • At least one to two years of clinical practice in Internal Medicine, Behavioral Neurology, Family Practice, Endocrinology, GI +/- liver disease
